Maybe you have heard the expression “it is what it is”? What does that expression mean exactly?

Before I understood the deeper meaning of this expression, I envisioned an emaciated yogi guru in the lotus position floating above the ground imperiously imparting wisdom that would take scholars multiple lifetimes to interpret. Seeing that how this really is my last life on earth and the lotus position would put me in traction, I knew that consulting the Course In Miracles would help me clarify its meaning.

What is the IT that individuals are authoring here? Based on the Course in Miracles, IT is truth, specifically God’s truth. Why is it very important to emphasize that it’s God’s truth? Because God’s the fact is not available to interpretations whereas a human’s truth is. Multiple versions of human truth have result in a myriad of religions a course in miracles youtube channel. The Columbia Electronic Encyclopedia defines religion as a “system of thought, feeling, and action that is shared by way of a group and that gives the members an item of devotion.”

Who devised the device of thought? On whose feelings are these thoughts based? Are actions really necessary? Based on the Course In Miracles, God just is and our ultimate goal is to come back to an ideal state of being. There’s no thought or action in the state to be, you merely are. What mustn’t be forgotten is the underlying thread of religions: God is creator, God is love and we’re all perfect and infinite children of God.

Put another way, “it is what it is” can be rewritten to “God’s love is the only truth and it is absolute” and this truth knows no bounds and is timeless.
